On April 18th, 2025, Theatre Flamingo celebrated the landmark 50th performance of its acclaimed physical theatre piece, ‘Dumb Indignation’, at Shree Ram Lagoo Rang-Avakash in Pune. Rooted in the principles of "Poor Theatre", this Goa-based troupe presented a stirring non-verbal narrative that gives voice to women’s silenced struggles. Conceptualized as an immersive, ritual-infused performance, the piece uses movement, silence, and live music to evoke empathy and societal reflection. Choreographed and performed by Amodi Sanap with live music by Shardul Bapat, the play is a powerful testament to art as activism—performed across urban and rural spaces alike, purely for its social necessity.
