Delhi Government launches LEAD portal to make online learning easy

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the education system is turning completely towards the online mode of study. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has recently an education portal, Learning through E-resources made accessible for Delhi (LEAD), as a product of Delhi Government. With this portal, students would easily be able to access study material from sources like CBSE and NCERT online.

LEAD would be including digital QR code textbook, login outcome, explanatory videos, practice papers, rating, etc as one of the components.

According to the Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia, teachers prepare the syllabus from not only the textbooks but also the supplementary books for every subject.

Who is going to head LEAD?

This project will be under the leadership of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) team with 25 core members.

"The portal will also be connecting with DIKSHA portal for teaching and training material," said Manish Sisodia.

LEAD is going to be an integral part of the education system in the near future, he added.
